It is known that Verizon will be revealing DROID Maxx 2 not before October 27th, but it seems that someone from Motorola may have been way too excited to put some information out via its official website. A now-deactivated help page shows a fair amount of details about the Motorola Droid Maxx 2.
As the images suggest, the Droid Maxx 2’s back panel shells are removable, therefore giving its users the ability to get another colour or design cover for the phone. Judging by the photo, the battery is non-removable.
Note that while Verizon will brand this phone as Droid Maxx 2, the international variant will be called as ‘Moto X Play’. It will be using the Snapdragon 615, a 5.5″ 1080p display, a 21-megapixel rear camera and a 2GB RAM with a variant of 16GB and 32GB ROM. There will be a MicroSD card slot, which provides support of up to 128GB.
It is also confirmed that Verizon will also be revealing Droid Turbo 2, which will be called as Moto X Force internationally. This will be using Corning Gorilla Glass 4 with Snapdragon 810, 3GB RAM, Choice of 32GB or 64GB ROM, 21MP Primary camera, 5MP Secondary, a 5.43″ display with 1440 x 2560 resolution.
