Apple broke its previous record during this weekend as they sold 13 million iPhone 6S phones, the biggest numbers iPhones generated during its weekend launch.
Tim Cook is very happy about it.
“Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first-weekend sales results in Apple’s history,” Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook said. “Customers’ feedback is incredible and they are loving 3D Touch and Live Photos, and we can’t wait to bring iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9.”
In the days to come, Apple all new iPhone 6S Plus will be available in up to 40 countries. This will include many European nations on October 9th, followed by the roll out in the Middle East the next day. For India, Malaysia and Turkey, the iPhone 6S probably will roll out by the end of 2015.
What would be interesting to see if Apple and its third party contractors can keep up with consumer demands and supply along with huge sales expected from these release dates.
